My Father.
You might have already seen the insurance commercials about "becoming your parents", if you watch any live TV you are almost assured to have seen at least one. If you haven't seen any of them you can just search "becoming your parents commercial" in your favorite search site and it should show at least a few results.
The general gist of them is that when you buy a home you become one of your parents. Because why? They don't really say why.
There is one that has a guy on a couch reading a book about submarines and the doctor ask him who else read about submarines and he answers his father.
And that's when it hit me.
One of the many things he liked to do was crossword puzzles. One of the things I grabbed when going through my parents stuff was a Nintendo DS Lite. One of the games was Crosswords.
Guess what I have been playing for a while.
Crosswords. Over 200 games at this point so I am guessing it wasn't just a lets play and see if I like it, I actually enjoy it.
Many of the things he did I find myself having any interest in other than some reading but I go for SciFi where he went for history type stuff.
I still have no urge to get a newspaper (are they still sold in paper?) or find them online to do them, just the ones on the DS Lite so maybe there is hope after all, not that becoming my father would be a bad thing as long as I did it my way.
If I ever start doing all the laundry and cooking... I may be progressing further.
